Scissor Wall is the vertical wall access ladder that allows practical and safe access to a loft where the hatch is built into a vertical wall.

With 11 steps and a 15/10 galvanized sheet metal structure, equipped with shock-absorbing and return springs, opening and closing occurs easily and without any effort. The telescopic handrail on the right side makes getting on and off comfortable and safe.

The sturdy frame in 10/10 galvanized steel sheet with reinforced corners guarantees reliable durability over time. The hatch with first choice poplar plywood panel, with low formaldehyde emissions according to the UNI EN 13986:2005 standard, preserves your health.

Certified according to UNI EN 14975:2007, this ladder has a load capacity of up to 150 kg, statically tested up to 260 kg.

Scissor Wall, like all MisterStep ladders, is shipped fully assembled and ready to use.

For a safe installation, check that the wall is able to resist a horizontal push. In the case of plasterboard walls or walls with 8 cm holes, use the included reinforcement plate to anchor the retractable ladder to the support floor.

Safe Installation:

It is essential to check that the wall on which the ladder will be mounted is able to resist a strong horizontal push. In the case of plasterboard walls or 8 cm perforated walls, the retractable wall ladder must be fixed to the supporting floor using the appropriate reinforcement plate.

How much space must be left free around the hole for installing the loft ladder?

The lower part of the hole must be at least 3 cm away from any perimeter walls for correct installation. The minimum dimensions of the hole vary depending on the model chosen.

Can I adjust the height of the ladder?

Modifying or intervening on the ladder and its components is never permitted. The internal height of the compartment will be provided during the ordering phase, in order to avoid risks or damage to people orobjects. We strongly advise against making changes to the step section, as it is essential to know the internal dimensions of the compartment before placing the order.

Can I install loft ladders in work environments?

Loft ladders are designed for residential use. The exception is represented by the Rigid loft Ladder, which allows specialized personnel for lifts and machinery to access for inspections, checks and maintenance of the technical rooms. However, we recommend respecting the Ispels regulations by making the hole with dimensions of at least 80x120 cm.

Can I fix the ladder to the attic?

It is strictly forbidden to use concrete or drill holes in the frame. For correct installation of the ladder, once positioned perfectly leveled, it is necessary to proceed with the mechanical fixing using the four brackets supplied in the original packaging and the application of polyurethane foam along the perimeter between the floor and the frame. This procedure will also ensure adequate thermal insulation.

When can the loft ladder be installed?

The installation of the loft ladder is only possible after completing all the works, in particular the flooring. It is advisable to avoid using the ladder to finish work on the upper or lower floor.

Can I install the ladder outside?

Loft ladders are designed for indoor use. The exception is the Terrace version, which is equipped with a galvanized upper roof that allows access to an outdoor terrace. All other ladders are not suitable for outdoor installation or use.

What is the correct procedure for installing the climbing support?

The ladder will be removed from the original packaging and fixed on the hole, with the pantograph fully extended. At this point, we recommend that you refer to the instructions supplied with the product, which clarify in detail the anchoring points of the climbing support. The only exception concerns the automatic versions, in which the support, if provided, is installed directly in our factory at the time of purchase.

What is meant by "ceiling height"?

The ceiling height is the measurement in centimeters that must be taken vertically from the lower floor to the sub-floor, excluding the thickness of the floor itself. This measurement is essential for the following versions: Pantograph loft Ladder, Rigid loft Ladder, Terrace loft Ladder, automatic loft Ladder. The ceiling height must be communicated at the time of order, in order to avoid possible risks to people or objects. It is recommended to check, following the instructions in the technical manuals, the spaces necessary during maneuvers and on the floor to avoid any unwanted collisions.

The height at floor level is the measurement in centimeters that must be taken vertically from the lower floor to the upper floor. This measurement is essential for the following versions: Wall Pantograph loft Ladder, Motorized Wall loft Ladder. The height at floor level must be communicated at the time of order, in order to avoid possible risks to people or objects. It is recommended to check, following the instructions in the technical manuals, the spaces necessary during maneuvers and on the floor to avoid any unwanted collisions.

Is expert assistance required for installation?

All loft ladders are supplied fully assembled and ready for installation. It will be sufficient to have the hole prepared to accommodate the chosen ladder. Once positioned in the hole, the loft ladder can be used in complete safety. We strongly recommend that you consult the attached manual and scrupulously follow the relevant safety regulations. The help of a second person makes the installation easier and safer.

How should the hole to insert the ladder be configured?

The hole must be positioned at a distance of at least 3 cm from the perimeter walls to allow easy installation. It is important that the hole is made with the sides perpendicular to each other, in order to guarantee a correct position. The upper part of the hole must have the four free corners, essential for installing the "L" shaped brackets that will support the ladder on the wall.

Can I install the Mezzanine ladder on a wooden beam?

Absolutely yes, it will be possible to fix the fixed support included with the ladder on the chosen beam and, using dowels (not supplied), you can anchor the mezzanine ladder to it.

What is the maximum height I can reach?

With the Manual Pantograph version or the automatic version of the ladder, the maximum height that can be reached is 350 cm. With the Rigid version of the ladder, the maximum height that can be reached is 442 cm.
